break the bank? Consider trying out the Core Calisthenics class not only because it’s a tough workout, but also because its free! The class takes place every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Jack and Adam’s Bicycles located at 1210 Barton Springs Road.
Led by Mark Saucedo of The Zone Bootcamp in Round Rock, this Core Calisthenics class is apparently not your grandmother’s workout according to an article on Austin Culture Map. After a warm-up of jogging laps around the parking lot, Saucedo starts the workout off with group core work including perfectly timed increments of plank exercises, different crunches, squats, calf-raises and much more.
One important thing to know is to bring your own mat for the ab exercises, but not your favorite yoga mat. It will get a bit dirty from the parking lot and your shoes. Also, there is a water jug inside but make sure you bring your own water bottle just in case.
